Quality Assurance Engineer – Greenfield Mining Project

About the role

The client is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to support a large‑scale greenfield mining project during its construction phase. Working on a 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster, you will collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors and site teams to ensure quality systems, processes and standards are applied across all site activities.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain QA systems and processes for construction and infrastructure works.
• Conduct inspections, audits, surveillance activities and compliance reviews.
• Review construction documentation such as ITPs, specifications, drawings and quality records.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure work complies with approved specifications.
• Identify, manage and report quality risks, non‑conformances and corrective actions.
• Support root‑cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate quality documentation, reporting and project records.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in quality assurance within mining, construction, infrastructure or heavy‑industry projects.
• Proven experience supporting major construction or greenfield developments.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems, inspection processes, audits and compliance requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work collaboratively with contractors, engineering teams and project stakeholders.
• Willingness to work onsite on a 2/1 roster.
