Qualified Plumber - Government Projects

About the role

Protech is recruiting a qualified plumber for a government-aligned client in Townsville and beyond. You will report to the Plumbing Foreperson and help build, maintain and refurbish schools, public facilities, social housing and other projects across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing and drainage works on construction and maintenance projects
• Ensure compliance with plumbing standards, regulations and workplace procedures
• Work safely around asbestos, lead-based products and other high-risk construction environments
• Complete daily risk assessments and follow WHS requirements and site policies
• Identify and report hazards and take responsibility for own health and safety on site
• Deliver high-quality workmanship with a customer-focused approach
• Travel to worksites throughout the region and, when required, across Queensland

Required profile

• Current trade qualification (minimum Certificate III in Plumbing)
• Current Queensland Plumbing Licence
• Current Construction Industry White Card
• Current Queensland C Class driver's licence (or equivalent)
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening
