Qualified Linesperson for 330kV/500kV Transmission Projects

About the role

Acciona is seeking qualified Linesmen/Linespersons to construct 330kV and 500kV overhead transmission lines for the Central‑West Orana Renewable Energy Zone project. The role is based in Merotherie, NSW, with a 2/1 roster and on‑site camp accommodation.

Key responsibilities

• Construct and install overhead transmission towers, conductors and hardware.
• Inspect and maintain transmission structures to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Perform rigging, high‑risk work and work‑at‑heights tasks safely.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment required for line construction.
• Travel to remote sites and live on‑site for the duration of the roster.

Required profile

• Certified Cert III ESI – Transmission Overhead (UET30521).
• High Risk Work Licence – Advanced Rigging.
• Working at heights ticket and Construction White Card.
• Proven experience installing and inspecting 330kV (or higher) transmission structures.
• Full C‑class driver’s licence, own vehicle, and Australian work rights without restrictions.
• Willingness to undergo pre‑employment medical and police checks.

Required skills

• Cert III ESI – Transmission Overhead.
• Advanced rigging and high‑risk work licence.
• Working at heights certification.
• Construction White Card.
• Experience with 330kV+ transmission structures.
• C‑class driver’s licence and personal vehicle.
