Qualified Concreter – Trainer & Assessor (Cert III Concreting)

About the role

City-Wide Building and Training Services (CWBTS), part of Up Education, is looking for an experienced, qualified concreter to train and assess apprentices completing the Certificate III in Concreting (CPC30320). The role is permanent part-time, 31.5 hours spread over three days, based in the Sydney and Central Coast regions, with travel to worksites and training locations.

Key responsibilities

• Visit apprentices at worksites and approved training locations
• Deliver practical, industry-relevant training and assess their competency
• Coach apprentices, give constructive feedback and monitor their progress
• Maintain regular contact with apprentices and build relationships with employers and supervisors
• Complete assessments and keep accurate student and progress records
• Use digital systems to manage training, assessment and student information
• Contribute to quality, compliance and continuous improvement activities

Required profile

• Certificate III in Concreting or equivalent, and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/TAE40122) or equivalent
• Strong current or recent concreting experience and good understanding of quality workmanship and safe work practices
• Ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with apprentices, employers and colleagues
• Australian working rights and willingness to travel to worksites and training venues
• Working with Children Check (employee), or willingness to obtain one, plus willingness to complete police and driver's licence checks
• Highly regarded: experience supervising or mentoring apprentices, delivering or assessing apprenticeship training, and familiarity with systems such as ReadySkills, LMS or VETtrak

What we offer

• $80,000-$85,000 full-time equivalent plus superannuation
• Vehicle allowance of $17,000 FTE, pro rata, including fuel and eTag costs
