Purchasing Officer

About the role

The Purchasing Officer supports daily site operations by ensuring timely and cost‑effective procurement of goods and materials. Reporting to the Purchasing Lead, you will manage purchase orders, source suppliers, and coordinate freight while maintaining strong stakeholder and vendor relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Source and procure goods, materials, and services in line with operational requirements and company policies.
• Convert and manage purchase orders using ERP systems (e.g., Pronto) and confirm delivery status with suppliers.
• Generate bi‑weekly inventory reorder reports and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and report on purchasing performance, cost savings, and supplier performance.
• Assist with daily management of critical reagents and fuel requirements for the site.
• Prepare request for quotations (RFQ) and support end users in the procurement process.
• Respond to urgent expediting requests, providing end‑to‑end tracking for stakeholders.
• Coordinate the expediting of materials required for operational plans.

Required profile

• Permanent full‑time position operating on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO in the Pilbara region.
• Strong stakeholder and vendor relationship management skills.
• Ability to manage P2P processes and maintain accurate procurement documentation.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems, specifically Pronto.
