Purchasing Lead – Procurement Team Manager

About the role

The Purchasing Lead will head a team of three purchasing officers, overseeing the procurement of all goods required across multiple warehouse locations. This critical position balances cost, quality and delivery while supporting the company’s growth in the building services sector.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop and manage the purchasing team.
• Design and execute procurement strategies for local and international sourcing.
• Create, adjust and finalise purchase orders for domestic and import transactions.
• Negotiate and manage supplier relationships to ensure cost competitiveness, quality standards and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with inventory, sales and operations teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Work with Finance to manage budgets, forecast spend and drive cost‑saving initiatives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain or purchasing, preferably within a related industry.
• Strong negotiation ability and experience managing supplier pricing, delivery terms and quality.
• Solid understanding of purchasing processes, stock replenishment, supplier evaluation and cost control.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
