Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator – Balcatta

About the role

The Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator supports the IFMS contract at Sodexo's Balcatta Support Centre, overseeing day‑to‑day procurement and stock management. The role ensures compliance with Sodexo policies, ISO 55001 asset‑management standards, and aims to optimise costs and minimise risk.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions within 24 hours and manage the central procurement mailbox.
• Consolidate supplier data, support quote requests, and handle supplier onboarding.
• Analyse material needs, perform stock reconciliation, and manage rotables, express/air freight, and JIT expediting.
• Handle invoicing queries, CAPEX requests, and monthly account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, performance reports, and maximise supplier rebates.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives and ensure catalogue governance aligns with Sodexo standards.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in purchasing or inventory control.
• Understanding of asset lifecycle management (ISO 55000/55001).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with business acumen.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and ability to work independently or in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
