Purchasing Administrator

About the role

St John WA, a not-for-profit healthcare provider serving Western Australia since 1922, is looking for a Purchasing Administrator to join its Supply Chain team. The position is part-time, 18.75 hours per week, on a fixed-term contract of 6 months. You will process purchase orders in line with approved processes and policies and engage with suppliers to keep order and delivery schedules running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Raise and process purchase orders accurately, in line with approved purchasing policies and procedures
• Monitor orders, follow up delays, coordinate delivery schedules and advanced shipping notifications, and support timely receipt of goods
• Verify inventory pricing, investigate receipt and invoice discrepancies, and process credits and purchase order returns with Accounts Payable
• Work with Planning and Analytics to monitor stockouts and backorders, and escalate supply issues to stakeholders
• Maintain supplier and internal stakeholder relationships and resolve purchasing queries
• Keep records accurate and accessible, contribute to continuous improvement, and uphold workplace safety and inclusive practices

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a Purchasing or Supply Chain role
• Substantial customer service experience desirable
• Prior experience in Health/Pharmaceutical or FMCG purchasing and/or procurement desirable
