Dispatch Officer (Temp to Perm)

About the role

A global wholesaler and distributor of HVAC products is recruiting a Dispatch Officer through WorkPac to start as soon as possible in Belmont, Western Australia. The position is casual, paid $37.50 per hour, on a 3 to 6 month temp-to-perm contract, working Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 3 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and process incoming deliveries, checking goods for accuracy, quality and damage and reporting discrepancies promptly.
• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently for dispatch.
• Coordinate daily warehouse and logistics operations, including dispatch schedules, delivery runs and deliveries and collections.
• Assist with safe loading and unloading of vehicles, operate forklifts and warehouse equipment where authorised, and support warehouse, production and logistics teams.
• Maintain a clean, organised warehouse with accurate stock handling and inventory practices, and follow HSE policies, transport regulations and manual handling procedures.

Required profile

• Current forklift and driver's licence.
• Experience receiving and dispatching in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating vehicles and material-handling equipment.
• Reliable, organised, proactive and deadline-focused.

Required skills

• Basic to intermediate computer skills.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
