Publicist / Business Manager

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Publicist / Business Manager to join our team and help brands connect with culture through earned media, influencer engagement and disruptive creativity. Working closely with senior colleagues, you will contribute to high‑impact PR campaigns, build media relationships and support the execution of events and influencer programs.

Key responsibilities

• Support the delivery of PR campaigns and programs across retained and project clients.
• Contribute to the development of media strategies and creative campaign ideas.
• Draft high‑quality written materials including media releases, pitches, briefing documents, features and bylined articles.
• Proactively pitch stories to media and influencers to secure coverage.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, influencers and key opinion leaders.
• Develop and update media lists across key sectors and verticals.
• Manage and respond to media enquiries with support from senior team members.
• Coordinate media opportunities such as interviews, product send‑outs and talent logistics.
• Support the execution of events, launches and activations.
• Assist in the delivery of influencer programs to ensure alignment with campaign objectives.
• Monitor, track and report on media coverage and campaign performance.
• Provide day‑to‑day client servicing and communications.
• Ensure tasks are delivered on time and to a high standard.
• Contribute ideas to enhance client campaigns and results.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and new‑business research.
• Stay up‑to‑date with media, cultural and industry trends.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in PR or communications.
• Proven track record of pitching to media and securing coverage.
• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Ability to build and nurture media relationships.
• Curiosity about brands, audiences and industries.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work with senior team members.
