Public Relations Officer – Remote (Australia)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and creative Public Relations Officer to shape and deliver PR strategies that boost our brand reputation across Australia. The role is fully remote and will involve close collaboration with media, stakeholders and internal teams to ensure consistent, impactful communication.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement public relations and corporate communication strategies.
• Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists and industry stakeholders.
• Draft and distribute press releases, media statements, newsletters, speeches and other communication materials.
• Coordinate media interviews, press conferences, corporate events and public‑engagement activities.
• Monitor media coverage, prepare brand visibility reports and analyse public sentiment.
• Manage reputation by responding to media inquiries and supporting crisis communication.
• Collaborate with marketing, communications and leadership teams to ensure consistent messaging.
• Create content for websites, social media platforms, blogs and internal channels.
• Support CSR and community‑engagement programmes.
• Track PR campaign performance and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Media or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications or media relations.
• Excellent written, editing and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong relationship‑building and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
