Public Liability Lawyer - Associate

About the role

Slater and Gordon, a leading personal injury and class actions law firm, is growing its Public Liability team in Brisbane and is seeking an experienced Lawyer/Associate for a full-time, permanent role. The team supports clients injured in public places such as shopping centres, car parks or footpaths, as well as cases involving dog attacks, physical assaults or sporting accidents. Flexible work arrangements will be considered.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a Public Liability practice
• Provide clear, practical and concise legal and commercial advice
• Tailor the approach to each client's matter and identify practical, innovative solutions
• Maintain and build new client relationships and strengthen existing community relationships
• Initiate and build new networks
• Deliver exceptional service to clients

Required profile

• Previous practising experience in personal injury law with a passion for Public Liability
• Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team
• Ability to listen to and empathise with clients and their families
• Ability to exercise judgement and resolve problems expeditiously and satisfactorily
• Australian citizenship, permanent residency or a valid visa with full and unrestricted working rights in Australia; proof of work rights is required
