Psychologist - Townsville Rehabilitation Unit

About the role

Townsville Hospital and Health Service is recruiting a psychologist for its Townsville Rehabilitation Unit. The position is fixed-term temporary, part-time at 38 hours per fortnight, running until 31 May 2028. It suits a motivated clinician with a base level of experience in a rehabilitation setting, working in a supportive, friendly unit where autonomy and innovation are valued and professional development is supported. The psychologist works within a multi-disciplinary team providing patient-centred care.

Required profile

• An APAC-accredited four-year psychology qualification and eligibility for provisional or general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsychBA).
• A C class driver's licence.
• Not mandatory but highly regarded: a PsychBA endorsement in Clinical Psychology or Health Psychology, and PsychBA-approved supervisor status.
• The role is a vaccine-preventable disease risk role; a probation period may apply and pre-employment checks will be conducted.

What we offer

• Salary of $40.35 to $58.59 per hour (HP3 classification).
• 4 to 6 weeks of annual leave with 14% to 17.5% loading.
• 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.
