Psychiatrist – General Adult & Emerging Therapies (PAP)

About the role

We are seeking a collaborative, forward‑thinking Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team at a Maroochydore clinic. You will manage a varied general adult caseload while gaining hands‑on involvement in our Psychedelic‑Assisted Psychotherapy (PAP) clinic and novel treatment programs.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver psychiatric assessments, diagnostic formulation, and ongoing medical management for general adult clients with complex mental health needs.
• Provide medical supervision, safety assessments, and clinical oversight for clients undergoing PAP and other emerging therapies.
• Collaborate with session facilitators, researchers, and trial staff within a structured clinical governance framework.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team case reviews, peer supervision, and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Specialist registration as a Psychiatrist with AHPRA and FRANZCP Fellowship (or nearing completion).
• A compassionate, client‑centred clinician with a strong grounding in general adult psychiatry.
• Genuine interest or willingness to learn about emerging therapies, PAP and novel interventions.
• Enjoys working in a multi‑disciplinary environment alongside an experienced team.
