Project Officer (Jira) – $700 per day + super

About the role

We are seeking a Project Officer with deep expertise in Jira to join our IT consultancy on a short‑term contract. The role is based in Macquarie Park, operating in a hybrid model with one day per week on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and set up Jira projects end‑to‑end, including workflow design, custom fields, screens and forms.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective Jira configurations.
• Integrate Jira with complementary tools and systems to improve functionality and user experience.
• Deliver training sessions and ongoing support to end users during project roll‑outs.
• Provide occasional support for Confluence requests.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a project officer or coordinator working extensively with Jira.
• Demonstrated subject‑matter expertise in Jira configuration and administration.
• Experience in the government sector is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and communicate technical concepts clearly.
