Project Manager - Water Infrastructure

About the role

A well-established leader in the mechanical services sector, delivering complex projects across water utilities and industrial environments, is looking for an experienced Project Manager for its Beresfield Service Centre. The role reports directly to the Service Centre Manager and focuses on major water infrastructure projects, initially Sydney Water projects, with other client works added as they come in. It suits someone who takes ownership, manages stakeholder relationships and delivers projects safely, efficiently and commercially.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project documentation and document control, and generate, coordinate and track QA documentation
• Support safety compliance and project documentation requirements
• Prepare cash flow forecasts, monitor project costs and manage monthly progress claims with substantiation
• Prepare delay notifications and contractual claims where required
• Coordinate subcontractors, monitor their performance, and ensure supplier compliance and onboarding
• Develop and maintain project programmes and schedules, and support mobilisation planning including accommodation and logistics
• Provide contract administration and commercial support, and act as the main point of contact for clients
• Work closely with internal operational and technical teams

Required profile

• Proven experience managing multiple stakeholders and driving project outcomes
• Demonstrated project management experience in an industrial, mechanical, engineering or utilities environment
• Ideally: mechanical industry, water utilities and pump industry experience
• Ability to work autonomously and take responsibility for project outcomes
