Project Manager - Transport Management System Implementation

About the role

A leading Australian retailer is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead a major Transport Management System (TMS) implementation within a large-scale supply chain transformation program. This is a senior delivery role based in Melbourne on a 12-month hybrid contract, coordinating the end-to-end implementation of a new enterprise TMS across inbound and outbound transport operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of a large-scale TMS implementation
• Develop and manage the integrated project plan across design, configuration, integration, data, testing, change and deployment
• Coordinate business, technology, operations, vendor and partner workstreams
• Manage dependencies across broader WMS, OMS and supply chain transformation initiatives
• Drive systems integration across ERP, WMS, carriers, suppliers and reporting platforms
• Manage project governance, RAID, budgets, forecasting, risks and executive reporting
• Work with vendors and implementation partners on deliverables, milestones and dependencies
• Coordinate testing, cutover, go-live, hypercare and transition into support

Required profile

• Experienced Project Manager who has delivered complex, technology-enabled transformation programs in transport, logistics, retail or supply chain
• Ideally previous experience implementing a TMS, with Manhattan Active Transport experience highly regarded
• Strong supply chain, logistics or transport domain knowledge
• Experience managing vendors and multiple delivery partners
• Strong project governance, commercial and financial management capability
• Excellent senior stakeholder management and communication skills
