Project Manager – Technical Services

About the role

Turner & Townsend is looking for a technically strong Project Manager to lead complex mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) projects within the real‑estate sector in Sydney. This position is ideal for professionals with 3‑10 years of experience who want to progress within a global, tier‑one consultancy.

Key responsibilities

• Support and lead delivery of technical building services projects, focusing on electrical and controls systems.
• Manage design and delivery of MEP projects in live, operational environments.
• Plan and oversee works with emphasis on safety, quality and performance outcomes.
• Maintain project governance, reporting and change‑control processes, and communicate progress to clients and stakeholders.
• Support procurement activities, tender evaluations and contribute to financial and quality assurance processes.

Required profile

• 3‑10 years experience in building/technical services, preferably from PM to SPM level.
• Background in design consultancy or MEP services delivery contracting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects in live, operational environments and identify/mitigate risks.
• Tertiary qualification in engineering (electrical/mechanical) or equivalent industry experience.

Required skills

• Strong technical capability in MEP systems, especially electrical and controls.
• Experience with risk identification and management for construction programmes.
• Proficiency in project governance, reporting and change‑control processes.
• Knowledge of procurement, tender evaluation and client‑facing communication.
