Project Manager / Senior Project Manager – Mackay

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to lead complex projects from Mackay, Queensland. You will own end‑to‑end service delivery, working closely with clients and internal teams to ensure projects meet time, cost and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project management commissions for large or complex projects, acting as the primary client interface.
• Manage budgets, cashflows, commissions and resource planning, including superintendent recommendations.
• Coordinate contractors and consultants, assess tenders and oversee stakeholder arrangements.
• Develop junior staff through training and skill transfer.

Required profile

• 3‑7 years’ experience in client‑side project management consultancy or construction project management.
• Strong stakeholder management and experience with commercial occupier projects.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in construction project management.

Required skills

• Builder procurement, tendering and contract negotiations.
• Superintendent duties under building contracts.
• Design process management for architectural, structural and services disciplines.
• Program, budget and quality control.
• Risk identification, change control and formal progress reporting.
