Project Manager

About the role

Coates is seeking an experienced Project Manager on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to lead the planning, mobilisation and delivery of complex installation projects across Australia. You will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient and customer‑focused outcomes from project commencement through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of large‑scale installation projects.
• Develop and manage project schedules, delivery programmes and installation plans.
• Coordinate contractors and suppliers to achieve milestones safely, on time and within budget.
• Liaise closely with customers and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage site mobilisation, installation activities and site inductions.
• Ensure all health, safety and compliance requirements are met.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Oversee project budgets, resources and reporting requirements.
• Maintain high levels of customer service and stakeholder engagement.
• Drive successful outcomes through effective planning, communication and leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing construction, infrastructure or large‑scale installation projects.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver complex site‑based projects from planning to completion.
• Strong contractor management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to develop and manage schedules, delivery programmes and budgets.
• Sound understanding of site safety, inductions and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication, planning and problem‑solving abilities.
• Capability to coordinate multiple workstreams and meet agreed timeframes.
• Experience with temporary facilities, modular infrastructure or site accommodation projects is highly regarded.
