Project Manager – Infrastructure

About the role
The Council is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the full lifecycle of critical infrastructure and building upgrade projects. You will oversee planning, design, procurement, construction, and handover while aligning work with the Council’s Asset Management Strategy.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end delivery of infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, budget, and quality standards are met.
- Interpret engineering drawings and apply relevant Australian Standards.
- Oversee contractors, supervise contracts, and resolve complex issues to keep programs on track.
- Engage with diverse stakeholders to provide proactive customer service and clear communication.
- Participate in natural disaster emergency responses and be part of an after‑hours on‑call roster.
Required profile
- Tertiary qualification in an infrastructure‑related field or extensive practical project management experience in civil construction or building sectors.
- Strong problem‑solving ability and sound judgement for complex project decisions.
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and report writing.
- Eligibility to work in Australia.
Required skills
- Ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Knowledge of Australian Standards.
- Experience managing and supervising contracts.
