About the role
SwitchCo is seeking a client‑side Project Manager to lead infrastructure and construction projects for Northern Territory clients. Based in Darwin, you will report to the Territory Manager and be responsible for delivering projects from feasibility through to completion, working closely with local stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Lead full‑lifecycle project planning, including feasibility studies, authority approvals, stakeholder alignment and design management.
- Provide senior leadership to consultants, contractors and specialist stakeholders, ensuring compliance on live, operational or high‑risk sites.
- Drive procurement strategy, contract negotiation, risk allocation and commercial performance across multiple concurrent projects.
- Manage multi‑million‑dollar budgets, forecasting, variations and commercial risk.
- Lead compliance reviews, regulatory engagement and site governance inspections.
- Act as the client’s representative in dealings with consultants and contractors, making defensible recommendations and holding delivery parties to obligations.
- Represent SwitchCo in the Darwin market at client meetings, site walks and industry forums.
Required profile
- Proven experience delivering infrastructure or construction projects in remote or regional environments.
- Strong understanding of Northern Territory approval pathways, client organisations and local networks.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent commercial acumen with a track record of managing large project budgets.
