Project Manager – Hospital Construction Fit‑Out

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a $4M early works package for the expansion of an existing hospital antenatal unit and support a concurrent $10M fit‑out project. The role is based in Sydney’s Inner West with occasional site visits to Sutherlandshire, reporting directly to the Managing Director.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare programme schedules and forecast project timelines.
• Develop budgets, cost plans and provide regular financial reporting.
• Manage subcontractors, site activities and coordinate services.
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site inspections and establish project set‑up.
• Ensure compliance with BCA standards and OH&S requirements.
• Monitor timelines, deliverables and resolve onsite issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• 4–5 years’ experience managing commercial construction projects of $2M+ value.
• Proven experience delivering hospital, medical or dental fit‑out projects.
• Strong design management exposure and experience preparing Development Applications (DA) and Resource Approvals (RA) for government clients.
• Commercial and financial management capability.
• Experience managing subcontractors and client relationships.
• Familiarity with project software such as Procore.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership abilities.
