Project Manager – Fit Out

About the role

Join a leading fit‑out and refurbishment design‑build contractor in Perth, delivering commercial projects ranging from $500k to $2m+. As Project Manager you will own the end‑to‑end delivery of high‑quality fit‑out projects, from design through to handover.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full delivery of fit‑out and refurbishment projects, ensuring they meet drawings, specifications and timeframes.
• Negotiate and let sub‑contracts, develop procurement schedules and lead the tender process.
• Develop and maintain project programmes, communicate updates to clients, consultants and internal stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate construction risks, manage project budgets, cash‑flow forecasting and monthly cost reporting.
• Oversee quality assurance, ensure compliance with standards, and manage client relationships with regular progress reporting.
• Lead and mentor junior staff including Assistant Project Managers, Project Coordinators and Site Managers.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering fit‑out and refurbishment projects as a Project Manager for a head contractor or D&B builder.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, variations and claims.
• Knowledge of local council and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Procore or similar project management software (preferred).
