Project Manager - Financial Risk

About the role

ING, Australia’s most recommended bank, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead regulatory and strategic change across financial risk disciplines. Reporting to the Program Manager, you will work across Risk, Data, Technology and business teams, delivering end‑to‑end initiatives and engaging senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of Financial Risk initiatives across business, Risk, Data and Technology.
• Establish clear delivery plans, milestones, dependencies and accountabilities.
• Drive governance, financial management, executive reporting and timely decision‑making.
• Proactively manage risks, issues, resources, costs, scope and delivery constraints.
• Coordinate regulatory, control and assurance requirements with traceable evidence.
• Lead business change, stakeholder engagement, implementation readiness, communications and transition to business‑as‑usual.

Required profile

• Strong experience delivering regulatory change within banking or financial services.
• Demonstrated end‑to‑end project ownership from mobilisation through implementation.
• Sound commercial, governance, financial and risk‑management capability.
• Confidence to influence senior stakeholders across Risk, Data, Technology and business teams.
• Strong judgement, communication and problem‑solving skills in complex delivery environments.
• Ability to lead people and business impacts of change, including stakeholder engagement and adoption.
