Project Manager – Engineering & Construction (QLD, NT, WA)

About the role

Viva Energy is seeking a Project Manager to lead the delivery of multi‑disciplinary engineering and construction projects across its bulk fuel terminals in Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia. You will be responsible for taking projects from concept through to commissioning while ensuring safety, quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of capital projects including bulk tanks, pipelines, gantries, electrical infrastructure, control systems, buildings and services.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, risk and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop scopes of work, manage contracts with engineering service providers and coordinate with operations, HSE, contractors and regulators.
• Prepare project documentation, forecasts, approvals and progress reports in line with the project management framework.
• Drive contractor performance and support continuous improvement in project delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical or related engineering discipline.
• Professional Engineer registration (RPEQ) and/or project management certification (PMP, AIPM) is valued.
• Experience in project engineering and management within fuel terminals, oil & gas, petrochemical or other major hazard facilities.
• Strong understanding of engineering design, construction, commissioning and operational interfaces.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a proven commitment to safety and quality.
