Project Manager – Commercial Construction

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead high‑profile commercial building projects for a leading national contractor based in Western Adelaide. The role offers full ownership of the project lifecycle, from inception through to handover, and provides the opportunity to contribute to the growth of a thriving commercial structures portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end project delivery, ensuring milestones are met on time, within scope and budget.
• Manage project programming, financial forecasting, cost control and budget administration.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, consultants and subcontractors, building collaborative relationships.
• Lead HSEQ initiatives, develop and manage SWMS and ITPs, and enforce quality and environmental standards.
• Coordinate design processes, raise and track RFIs, and handle contract administration.
• Apply commercial expertise to optimise margins and support project estimations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of proven project management experience in the Australian commercial construction market.
• Strong background in commercial building, structural refurbishments or complex upgrades.
• Robust financial and commercial acumen with ability to manage budgets, variations and schedules.
• Demonstrated leadership in mentoring site teams and subcontractors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Relevant tertiary degree (Construction Management, Civil Engineering) or equivalent trade qualification.
