Project Manager - Commercial Construction ($20M D&C)

About the role

A nationally award-winning design and construction head contractor, currently in a high-growth phase, is looking for a Project Manager to report directly to the Managing Director. You will own Tier 1, 2 or 3 commercial projects up to $20M and lead a high-performing onsite team including Site Managers, Contract Administrators and direct labour. The firm delivers premium finishes on aged care, health and government projects and values relationships over transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects from $400k to $20M, keeping them on time, on budget and to an award-winning standard
• Act as the main point of contact for subcontractors, government authorities and major clients
• Oversee site setup, budget monitoring, reporting and final handover
• Ensure full compliance with onsite regulations and safety standards

Required profile

• Proven experience managing head contractor commercial projects in Australia
• Ability to adapt quickly and handle several tasks in a live, high-pressure environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with subcontractors and sophisticated clients
• Experience in commercial fit-outs and refurbishments
