Project Manager – Client Side – Projects up to $20m+

About the role

Join a growing boutique construction project management consultancy delivering commercial, retail, hospitality, government and education projects across Canberra. The role involves managing projects up to $20m from concept through to completion, working on new builds, refurbishments, fit‑outs and upgrades.

Key responsibilities

• Procure design consultants, construction contractors and specialist consultants.
• Administer contracts, manage claims and oversee statutory approvals.
• Develop project scope, prepare tender submissions and coordinate design.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, health & safety, program schedules and cost control.
• Handle site variations, design changes and dispute resolution in live building environments.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in a client‑side project management role or with a head contractor.
• Proven end‑to‑end project management across multiple construction phases.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and analytical skills.
• Tertiary qualification in civil engineering, construction management or related field.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Project.
• Experience with industry contract forms such as GC21, AS4000, AS4122 and AS4902.
