Project Lead – Technical Services

About the role

Powertech, an electrical EPC and services provider active since 1998 across Oil & Gas, Mining, Utilities, Defence, Infrastructure and Energy, is looking for an experienced Project Lead for its Technical Services in the Eastern Region. The role acts as technical and commercial authority for client enquiries and assigned projects, combining project leadership, client account management and business development. About half the time is spent in the Brisbane office and half leading teams on field-based projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support field teams to safely deliver high-quality project outcomes.
• Manage assigned regional projects, including client requirements, budgets, invoicing and commercial performance.
• Build relationships with existing clients and develop opportunities with new ones.
• Prepare estimates, scopes of work, RFT/RFQ pricing and tender submissions.
• Provide technical guidance, training and support to field teams.
• Ensure compliance with Powertech and client safety, quality and contractual requirements.
• Build relationships with local suppliers, subcontractors and industry groups.
• Support regional resource planning and the growth of Technical Services.

Required profile

• At least five years' experience in a similar technical or project leadership role.
• Proven leadership capability and the ability to motivate and support field teams.
• Strong client relationship, business development and commercial skills.
• Experience managing project scopes, contracts, budgets and compliance requirements.
• A solutions-focused approach with strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Queensland Electrical Licence or degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Project or business management qualification, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
