Project Engineering Manager – ATM

About the role

Lead a multi‑disciplinary engineering team to deliver complex Air Traffic Management (ATM) system projects for Saab Australia. You will work closely with the Project Manager and Programme Engineering Manager to ensure successful delivery of engineering outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Systems Engineering Management Plan for ATM projects.
• Manage resource planning, budgeting and competence of engineering staff.
• Coordinate with customers to manage scope, risks and schedule throughout the project lifecycle.
• Control technical scope, baseline configuration and compliance with engineering policies.

Required profile

• Degree in engineering or computer science with recent relevant experience.
• Significant experience applying systems engineering principles in the ATM domain.
• Ability to handle complex technical challenges while meeting cost, time and quality constraints.
• Eligible for chartered engineering status and Australian Defence Security Clearance.

Required skills

• Systems engineering for ATM systems
• Knowledge of Australian Information Security Manual (ISM) compliance
• Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and Human Factors awareness
