Project Engineer - Water & Wastewater

About the role

We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our specialist engineering team in Adelaide, delivering innovative water and wastewater treatment solutions for industrial and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Produce concept designs, detailed engineering drawings, and 3D models.
• Manage engineering projects from concept through to production and delivery.
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.
• Support the design and delivery of water and wastewater treatment systems and equipment.
• Liaise with fabrication and manufacturing providers throughout project delivery.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and project records.
• Update engineering drawings, models, and design revisions.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) within the MRP system.
• Assist with assembly, testing, and commissioning activities as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a project, design, or process engineering role.
• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience taking projects from concept through to manufacture and installation.
• Ability to manage project timelines, budgets, and technical documentation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Understanding of electrical engineering principles.
• Knowledge of pumps, piping, valves, tanks, and treatment systems.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and engineering drawings.
• Experience using 3D CAD software.
• Familiarity with fabricated equipment, sheet metal, or skid‑based systems.
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining BOMs.
• Experience with MRP systems.
