Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer – Queensland

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer to join our Queensland team. The role involves planning, scheduling, forecasting and managing technical activities across infrastructure projects in road, rail, tunnelling, energy and utilities sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor assigned engineering projects from conception to hand‑over.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
• Interact daily with clients to interpret requirements and represent them on‑site.
• Control project budget, schedule and quality, reporting status regularly.
• Assign tasks, mentor team members and support the Project Manager.
• Review engineering deliverables and initiate corrective actions when needed.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
• Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities and supporting pipeline growth.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years experience delivering civil infrastructure projects.
• Experience in Queensland, preferably with TMR projects, is advantageous.
• Proven ability to lead project teams, solve problems and uphold health‑and‑safety standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
