Project Engineer – Renewable Energy

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Project Engineer to support the delivery of renewable energy projects across Australia. The role works closely with Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle, handling reporting, compliance, and technical documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with reporting, compliance, and documentation.
• Maintain project registers such as RFI, NCR, risks and actions.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, OEMs, AEMO, network service providers and internal teams.
• Monitor project progress, risks and critical‑path activities.
• Review technical documents including IFC drawings, ITPs and commissioning procedures.
• Ensure strong document control and process governance.
• Oversee day‑to‑day site activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, design specifications, safety and environmental standards.
• Support projects through design, construction and hand‑over phases.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of experience in document control, engineering or operations within the power or renewable energy sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Renewable Energy engineering.
• Knowledge of municipal, state and federal regulatory compliance and permitting processes.
• Proven experience delivering at least one project end‑to‑end.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, with willingness to travel to sites.

• Microsoft Office Suite.
• Document control systems and engineering documentation tools.
• Process mapping and workflow design.
• Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous‑improvement methodologies (advantageous).
