Project Engineer – Rail Infrastructure

About the role

You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering complex rail projects across the full lifecycle, from concept through to handover. The role offers exposure to rail systems, signalling, control systems and Traffic Management Systems (TMS) while developing strong project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of rail infrastructure and systems projects, ensuring safety, schedule and budget compliance.
• Contribute to project planning, scheduling, risk management, stakeholder engagement and governance reporting.
• Assist with signalling, control systems and TMS initiatives across design, construction and commissioning phases.
• Coordinate engineering, construction, operations and maintenance stakeholders to resolve interface issues.
• Support project controls activities such as cost tracking, forecasting and documentation management.

Required profile

• Proactive engineer with experience in rail, engineering or infrastructure project delivery.
• Strong planning, coordination and stakeholder management skills in a regulated environment.
• Effective communicator able to produce high‑quality documentation and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Four‑year engineering degree (or equivalent) and commitment to safety and quality.
