Project Engineer – Manufacturing (Brownfield)

About the role

Thomas Foods International is seeking experienced Project Engineers to join its Rose Park office. You will work on brownfield projects across five process plants, contributing to R&D, modernisation, site expansion, process optimisation and end‑of‑life initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage brownfield projects in‑house using AutoCAD.
• Coordinate multiple simultaneous projects across geographically diverse sites in SA, VIC and NSW.
• Lead R&D, modernisation, expansion, optimisation and decommissioning activities.
• Engage with stakeholders, prepare reports and ensure compliance with GMP and HACCP standards.
• Travel to various plant locations as required.

Required profile

• Formal degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Mechatronic Engineering.
• Significant brownfield project engineering experience in a GMP/HACCP manufacturing environment, preferably food or pharmaceutical.
• Proficiency with multiple project management methodologies and tools.
• Strong ability to coordinate several projects concurrently.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Willingness to travel and a valid Australian driver’s licence.
• Not suitable for recent graduates.
