Project Engineer - Major Roadworks

About the role

A leading mid-tier civil contractor, active in resources, local authorities and main roads projects across Australia, is recruiting a Project Engineer for a major TMR infrastructure project in South-east Queensland. The project covers major roadworks and structures, with scope including earthworks, drainage, services and major road works. You will start with an initial focus on procurement and then move into delivery and construction. The role reports to the Senior Project Engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Planning, programming and resourcing
• Procurement of key subcontractors and suppliers
• Subcontractor management
• Liaising with clients, contractors and consultants
• Providing input into strategic planning
• Progress claims and variations
• Weekly and monthly reporting

Required profile

• At least 5 to 6 years of post-graduate experience
• 4 years of experience on main roads, TMR or council projects delivering civil works on major road projects
• Relevant civil engineering tertiary qualification
• Experience interfacing with different disciplines on medium to large projects for a local Australian civil contractor
