Project Engineer

About the role

Parkview Constructions, a Sydney builder founded in 1997 with over 180 staff, is looking for a Project Engineer. You will sit at the heart of the projects, making sure quality standards are met, design intent is delivered and every technical detail meets the company's high standards. The role covers quality management end to end, coordinating designs between clients, consultants and subcontractors and helping solve the challenges of complex builds.

Key responsibilities

• Establish, maintain and monitor project quality standards and procedures
• Identify project issues and lead the development and implementation of solutions
• Review subcontractor quality documentation and checklists for compliance
• Review quality of subcontract works on site and liaise with the project team
• Review and check commissioning and testing against the appropriate services description and inclusions
• Facilitate resolution of design and coordination issues between client, consultant and subcontract elements
• Manage the flow of technical information between design disciplines and internal and external stakeholders
• Manage the design team so that works follow the target programme and design documentation programme
• Review consultant and subcontractor output for compliance with the design brief
• Check tender packages for scope of work, product usage and design logic where applicable
• Provide technical support and assistance to all members of the project team

Required profile

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field
• 6+ years' experience in a similar engineering role
• Proven experience on large-scale ($40M+) high-rise residential projects
• Familiarity with Sydney's construction market, subcontractors and consultants
• Proactive problem-solving, clear communication and a collaborative approach

Required skills

• Strong understanding of quality and design for structures, services, finishes and facades
