Project Engineer

About the role

Acciona’s Geotech division is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate and control engineering works on Queensland‑based infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will support the Senior Project Engineer in delivering safe, on‑time, high‑quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Project Engineer and Construction Manager to deliver projects on cost and schedule while ensuring client satisfaction.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Control costs and forecasts to aid strategic planning.
• Build collaborative relationships with supervisors and coordinate activities.
• Maintain quality, environmental, and safety systems throughout the project.
• Liaise with subcontractors to monitor performance and ensure workmanship meets specifications.
• Manage construction budgets, forecast profit/loss and monitor financial performance.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in project‑based engineering roles.
