Project Engineer (Fleet Assurance)

About the role

Transport for NSW is recruiting a Project Engineer (Fleet Assurance) in Sydney, NSW, on a permanent full-time basis. The engineer works as part of a team delivering project engineering support across the full project lifecycle, supporting fleet assurance projects. The advertised salary range is $124,810 to $139,787.

Key responsibilities

• Review rollingstock contractor deliverables for compliance with TfNSW technical requirements, SMS and the project assurance and governance plans.
• Assist with preparing packages for various assurance gates and build the overall fleet assurance argument So Far As Is Reasonably Practicable (SFAIRP) in line with the Rail Safety National Law (RSNL).
• Contribute to and support the development of project plans, delivering improved outcomes and compliance assurance in a dynamic environment with competing priorities and complex operational and legislative requirements.

Required profile

• At least five years of experience in a rail rollingstock assurance role is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the rail rollingstock and rail infrastructure industries.
• Experience in the TfNSW Cluster gate approval and review committee processes, including presenting and building supporting evidence to meet gate requirements.
• Demonstrated understanding of and contribution to Assurance Gate Process (AGP) documentation.
