Project Engineer - Civils FIFO

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Project Engineer to lead civil works on the Lumsden Point infrastructure project in Western Australia. This FIFO position combines hands‑on engineering with responsibility for delivering high‑quality civil packages, including earthworks, roads, drainage and pavements.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the project on schedule and within budget while ensuring client satisfaction.
• Manage a rolling 4‑6 week look‑ahead and contribute to 3‑6 month forward planning.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks, developing appropriate strategies.
• Oversee subcontractor performance to meet milestones and quality standards.
• Coordinate environmental, sustainability and quality requirements with relevant teams.
• Support procurement activities and champion safety compliance.
• Review, interpret and manage contracts; participate in client and contractor meetings.
• Own financial forecasting and budget for cost codes.
• Mentor cadets, graduates and site engineers.
• Deliver civil packages such as earthworks, roads, drainage and pavements.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in civil engineering, construction or a related field.
• Proven experience in general civil construction with a focus on pavements, concrete works and stabilised pavement construction.
• Strong commercial acumen and confidence in contract management and forecasting.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on multidisciplinary teams.
