Project Engineer - Civil (Gladstone)

About the role

A casual Project Engineer is sought to lead major civil and earthworks projects within a high-performing industrial operation in Gladstone, Queensland. The client operates globally significant alumina production facilities. The role sits Monday to Friday with strong site-based project delivery exposure.

Key responsibilities

• Support the planning and execution of annual wall raise programs
• Manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts and reporting
• Coordinate engineering, procurement and construction activities
• Provide technical and field engineering support to construction teams
• Monitor project performance, productivity and progress
• Manage project risks, changes and technical issues
• Support project governance, quality assurance and compliance
• Liaise with stakeholders to achieve project objectives and milestones

Required profile

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
• 8+ years' experience in project delivery, construction or engineering roles
• Strong experience in civil construction and bulk earthworks projects
• Mining, infrastructure, dams, tailings or residue management experience
• Proven field-based construction and project delivery experience
• Current driver's licence
• Experience in owner's teams or self-perform project environments

Required skills

• Project controls, cost management and scheduling
• Understanding of civil construction and bulk earthworks
• Ability to work collaboratively with operational and construction teams
