Project Director – Health

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead large‑scale health sector projects in Sydney. You will act as the primary client interface, overseeing design, safety, budget and timeline management to ensure successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage major health projects, serving as the key client liaison.
• Develop working relationships, solve problems and drive projects to successful completion.
• Manage the design process to meet client requirements and expectations.
• Review project plans, specifications, schedules and cost‑saving measures.
• Oversee project safety, environmental compliance, timelines, risks and reporting.
• Control project budgets and advise on options to keep them on track.
• Provide direct line management for the project team.

Required profile

• Recognised degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management.
• 10–15 years of industry experience on major health projects.
• Ability to thrive in a high‑pressure, fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent written and spoken English with strong report and bid writing skills.
• Strong leadership capability to develop and lead a team.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Primavera scheduling software (highly regarded).
