Project Commissioning Lead – EVA Copper

About the role

Lead the commissioning of a large‑scale thermal power station and later transition to commissioning the Solar Farm, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and integrated micro‑grid on the Eva Copper Hybrid Power Project in North‑West Queensland.

Key responsibilities

• Lead pre‑commissioning, commissioning, energisation and performance testing activities for thermal, solar and storage assets.
• Coordinate OEMs, contractors and commissioning teams, develop procedures, test plans and handover documentation.
• Manage HV energisation, electrical safety, isolation, switching and permit‑to‑work processes.
• Drive project readiness, defect close‑out and transition to operations, including site Permit Authority duties.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading commissioning on power generation, electrical or industrial projects.
• Strong HV commissioning and energisation background.
• Solid understanding of electrical safety, isolation and switching procedures.
• Leadership, planning and stakeholder management skills.
• Based in Brisbane and willing to work a 2:1 roster from Cloncurry.
