Program Manager - Payments

About the role

A major transformation program in Sydney is looking for an experienced, hands-on Cards and Payments Program Manager. The role coordinates multiple workstreams across payments, cards, testing, migration and technology teams, working across a large and complex application landscape. It is a highly visible position focused on stakeholder engagement, planning, governance and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate delivery across a large-scale Cards and Payments transformation program.
• Manage and oversee testing activities, including SIT, UAT and related environments.
• Coordinate migration and implementation activities across business and technology teams.
• Drive delivery across payments, cards and accounts.
• Manage dependencies and risks across a complex ecosystem.
• Support governance processes, financial reporting and program tracking.
• Work with Product Owners, business stakeholders and technology teams to achieve successful outcomes.
• Identify and resolve delivery challenges so milestones are met.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering large-scale payments and/or cards programs in banking or financial services.
• Experience leading complex testing, migration and implementation activities.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, comfortable working across business and technology teams.
• Proactive, delivery-focused mindset, resilient and adaptable in fast-paced transformation environments.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of payments operations, payment routing, cards, accounts and related technology platforms.
• Deep payments and cards expertise and strong program delivery experience.
