Program Coordinator - Follow The Dream

About the role

Carnarvon Community College, an independent public school in the Gascoyne Region of Western Australia, is recruiting a Program Coordinator for its Follow the Dream program. The program is a voluntary out-of-school education initiative aimed at aspirational and high-achieving Aboriginal students in Years 7 to 12, supporting them to excel academically, complete secondary schooling and move into VET, apprenticeships, traineeships or employment. The position starts in Term 1, 2027.

Required profile

• Ideal candidate is an experienced teacher with strong curriculum knowledge.
• Able to build and maintain relationships with Indigenous students, families, staff and other stakeholders.
• An energetic, positive approach to motivating and supporting students.
• Registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
• Australian, New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or holder of a valid visa with relevant work rights; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Valid Working with Children Check and a clear National Coordinated Criminal History Check (Screening Clearance Number).

What we offer

• Permanent full-time position with competitive salary.
• Country Teaching Program Allowance of $10,210 per year and District Allowance of $4,387 per year.
• Temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $550 per year, paid partly on commencement and partly at the end of the school year.
• 12% employer superannuation contribution and 12 weeks of vacation leave.
