Production Team Member / Machine Operator

About the role

Join ASSA ABLOY’s manufacturing team in Hendon to help produce high‑quality timber and metal doors for commercial and residential projects. You will operate a range of CNC‑controlled machinery and support daily factory operations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate CNC punching, folding, laser cutting, routing and rolling machines.
• Manage tooling changes, program machines and perform routine cleaning and maintenance.
• Load and unload stock, prepare materials and assist with stock handling.
• Operate auxiliary equipment such as beam saws, edge banders, brake presses, turrets and laser cutters.
• Monitor material usage to minimise waste and meet hourly production targets.
• Conduct quality checks on finished components and report any defects.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Required profile

• Experience in a workshop, factory or production environment.
• Ability to read and use measuring tools such as tape measures, pressure gauges, levels and squares.
• Reliable team player who can also work independently.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety and willingness to wear PPE.

Required skills

• CNC machine operation (punching, folding, laser cutting, routing, rolling).
• Operation of beam saws, edge banders, brake presses, turrets and laser cutters.
• Use of power tools.
• Basic measurement techniques with tape measure, gauge, level and square.
