Production Operator - Nightshift

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Production Operator to join the Nightshift team at our Allansford dairy facility. Working the 10 pm‑6 am shift, you will help produce iconic Australian cheeses in a highly automated environment while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automated dairy production equipment to meet nightly output targets.
• Perform equipment set‑up, dismantling, re‑assembly and cleaning, including scheduled Friday night deep cleans.
• Follow GMP, hygiene and OHS procedures to maintain a food‑grade environment.
• Complete checklists, data entry and record‑keeping accurately.
• Inspect product for type and quality, segregating any non‑conforming items.
• Report to the Nightshift Production Supervisor and collaborate with Work Area Coordinators.

Required profile

• Available to work the 10 pm‑6 am shift, Monday‑Friday.
• Mechanically minded with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
• Previous experience as a Machine Operator or in food manufacturing.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.
• Attention to detail for documentation and troubleshooting.

Required skills

• Forklift operation (license preferred, training can be provided).
