Production Operator

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Production Operator to join our gelcoat manufacturing team in Wacol, Brisbane. You will support the chemical blending process for high‑performance coatings used in maritime, aquatic and industrial applications. The role offers structured training and a clear path to senior or leadership positions.

Key responsibilities

• Operate blending vessels, mixers and related plant equipment to manufacture gelcoat products.
• Weigh, charge and mix raw materials according to batch instructions.
• Perform packing operations including filling, labeling and palletising finished goods.
• Operate forklifts to move raw materials, intermediates and finished products.
• Conduct routine in‑process checks and assist with quality‑control testing.
• Complete batch documentation, production logs and system entries accurately.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards and ensure a clean, organised work area.
• Follow all safety procedures, including handling of hazardous chemicals and dangerous goods.

Required profile

• Practical, physical work orientation with a strong focus on quality and safety.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Team player who can also work independently when required.

Required skills

• Operation of blending vessels and mixers.
• Forklift operation.
