Production Operations Lead

About the role

The Production Operations Lead will provide senior leadership across the production function, aligning operational capability with customer demand and business goals. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will drive productivity, cost control, workforce capability and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop operational managers, set performance standards and hold teams accountable.
• Oversee production planning, scheduling, workforce capacity and resource allocation.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, capacity constraints and emerging risks.
• Establish, monitor and report on operational KPIs and production performance.
• Drive improvements in productivity, labour utilisation, workflow efficiency and waste reduction.
• Maintain compliance with WHS, quality, hygiene and food‑safety requirements.

Required profile

• Significant senior operational and people‑leadership experience in manufacturing or a similarly complex environment.
• Proven ability to improve productivity, operational performance and workforce effectiveness.
• Strong communication skills and experience working with senior leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders.
